Ciao! I’m Lea — Your Italian Teacher and Cultural Guide
I was born and raised in Italy, where language, history, and culture are woven into everyday life. I graduated from the University of Turin with a degree in Italian Language and Literature, and for 14 years I taught World History, Italian Language, and Literature at the high‑school level. Those years helped me understand how to adapt to different learning styles and how to make the language come alive through stories, culture, and real communication. I also had the opportunity to teach Italian at the Lycée International de Paris.
My passion has always been literature in every language, because great writers express universal truths and emotions that transcend time and culture.
After moving to the United States, I continued teaching Italian in private schools and to individual students of all ages. Every student brings a unique perspective, and I enjoy guiding each one along their personal learning path.
My Teaching Philosophy
Learning a language is more than memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules. It is about connecting with people, culture, history, and a new way of seeing the world.
One‑on‑one tutoring allows me to focus on each student’s individual needs and help them discover the joy and beauty of the Italian language. And with my good sense of humor, my lessons tend to be both educational and enjoyable.
My goal is for my students to feel confident, motivated, and excited to use Italian in real life.
